Fans of Jimi Hendrix, and late 60\’s psychedelic rock in general…what do you think of Eire Apparent?

With members from Belfast, Northern Ireland…releasing one lone LP in 1969, these guys had a pretty cool sound in my opinion. Oh yeah…and I should also mention that jimi hendrix produced their album, and played guitar on several tracks as well.
Here’s the Wiki lowdown:

Over the years, many “Hendrix Hunters” have been disappointed with this LP, expecting it to sound like a Hendrix album. I guess they presume since he produced & played on the album that they’re gonna? get “Axis” part 2 or something. The same can be said for ‘Fat Mattress’ and ‘Road’ as well, via the Noel Redding connection. Another album worth looking into with Jimi ties is the debut by ‘Cat Mother and the All Night Newsboys’ – “The Street Giveth And The Street Taketh Away”, also produced by Jimi Hendrix.

Anyways…here’s a video I created/uploaded featuring five of my favourite songs from the debut album released in 1969; Eire Apparent – “Sunrise”.
My videos are quite simple production wise…with various imagery sourced from photos and scans of my vinyl album; jackets/covers, labels, etc.

The Clown / Someone Is Sure To Want You / Morning Glory / Mr. Guy Fawkes / Rock n Roll Band:

Thoughts?
Yes…we’re all aware of Rory Gallagher, and Taste, Skid Row, Gary Moore etc. I’ve always been a fan too…but comparing Rory to Eire Apparent is like comparing apples to oranges my friend. This was a 60’s psych/pop rock band. The only thing they have in common is that they were from Ireland. Do you post links to Rush videos at the Paul Anka questions too?

…Both are Canadian.
The fact is, they were from Northern Ireland. If they were from Dublin, I would have said they were from The Republic Of Ireland. That’s just the way it is…I didn’t draw the map. I’m quite sure they’re not offended…after-all, their website says this also.
Yes David…I have both LP’s by Ramatam…great guitar provided by April Lawton & Mike Pinera :)
