How can I be similar to Angelina jolie, as in her Goodwill Ambassador career?

Biv B asked:
I would like to do what she does as a goodwill ambassador, and fighting for human rights. What college degree, and are there any organizations that I can plug into? I know you have to be a celebrity to be a goodwill ambassador, so what would you call it if your are not a celeb?
Thanks for the answers in advance!

Goodwill ambassadors are not open positions. They are by invitations only, and open only to celebrities and those well connected politcally.
You don’t study to become one in college. Rather, you go out in the world to become famous and be someone like Russell Simmons, Roger Federer, and yes, Angelina Jolie.
You need to:
- involve yourself in high profile philantrophic organizations such as volunteering
- get to know your politicians, and network with people who matters
Otherwise, get a career in the development arena (be an economist, work in the UN)

There are different types of ambassadors.
Goodwill Ambassador Program is basically a “fake” government position where the government chooses famous people to raise its awareness.
Angelina Jolie only started doing charity work after she was selected as a goodwill ambassadors and has no college degree. You can see this is purely for the publicity.
To give you an example – Jackie Chan, David Beckham, Whoopi Goldberg are also goodwill ambassadors.
However, if you want to be other types of “real” ambassadors there are many ways. Here are the 7 simple steps.
Don’t ever let naysayers kill your dreams.
