how to mod a sony ps3 help please ?

ok i have a japanese satin silver 40gb ps3 . i bought it becuase i thought it was a cool color but it dont play ps1 or ps2 games so i want to mod it . i am basiclly looking to do a LED mod i dont really know what other mods there are i dot want illigal gameplay modchips im talking external mods

i want to know what i have to get to do a led mod and how to wire the leds to power them

i also wanna know if theres a ways i can put a card slot in it
