My R4 isn\’t working!?

I just recently ordered an r4 card online, and I don’t know if I’m doing things wrong but for some reason it isn’t working.
I paid really close attention to tutorials on Youtube and did exactly what they did, but.. when I turn on my DS, the r4 card menu doesn’t even show up.
It only has, Pictochat, DS Download Play, and Star Wars Lethal Alliance Ubisoft in place of where the DS games are suppose to be.

I downloaded the newest firmware, but when it didn’t work I deleted it then redownloaded it multiple times, in case it was a fluke…
But I’m at loss because even though I seem to be doing everything right, and the R4 menu, which is suppose to come automatically, isn’t even coming!

I emailed the site that I bought the R4 from, asking for help.. but I haven’t had a reply yet.
