Playstation 2 PAL mod chip?

So I’m going to resurrect my old PS2 to play all my old copied PS1 games and backed up PS2 games I’ve kept in a CD folder for a long long time. I ended up giving away my original PS2 games to my nephews a few years ago and god knows what happened to them. I don’t knwo what happened to my PS1 games but I remember breaking my PSone.

Anyway I’m not sure what mod chip to get because most of the information I’m reading is too old to be relevant anymore. The PS2 model I have is a 39002 and I’m an electronics nut so there is no job too tricky mod wise. Any recommendations that can get these PS1 and PS2 backups going including imports I can get off eBay? Apparently Modbo4.0 is a good one but I’d like some confirmation to backup the right chip.

PS: mod chips are legal in Australia for non-piracy activity. I have tried PCSX2 and my PC isn’t powerful enough and PSX emulators are glitchy with some of my games.
