Pokemon Platinum Rom v4.9 patched on m3ds i keep getting black screen, help!?

I’m using the m3i zero card and I installed the m3ds. My ndsi version is 1.4.3. When I’m playing pokemon platinum and i press start during the game and i click on the bag (where items are at pokeballs, medicine etc) the ROM just freezes and both ndsi screens go black. I then have to reset the ROM in order for it to be playable. Does anyone know how to fix this issue/bug?
