Will the Wii U controllers be fun to use?

Hey,am a long time gamer. I currently own a wii, ps3 and gaming PC, and a bunch of older consoles.

The the point of the original wii controllers was to have fun. A bunch of people can play at once and you could have a great party. However with these wii U controllers I noticed that they just look like expensive advanced pieces of technology. Sure they could offer some advantages in video games, but in the end it will only offer features that don’t add to the game. Some games may use it but most games like call of duty and gta, resident evil etc you may just get an enlarged map (that you have you have to tilt your entire downwards head to see) or an easier way to change weapons.
